| A professional journalist for 35 years, Terry Fletcher has written for almost every national daily and several national Sundays as well as for national TV and radio. He has recently stepped down after 15 years as Editor-in-Chief of Country Publications Ltd to spend more time walking, climbing and writing about the outdoors. He was assistant editor of the Yorkshire Post, is a former editor of Dalesman (the country's biggest-selling regional magazine) and The Countryman, and still edits Cumbria and Lake District Magazine. He has also edited several books. He has more than 35 years' experience as a rock climber and mountain walker in the UK, Europe and the United States and 20 as a skier. He also has an extensive photo library of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and American South West.
