| After completing a Phd in Environmental Sciences, Martin spent three years working with the British Antartic Survey, before settling in the Lake District, where he is a wordsmith for a local landscape charity. His background in scientific and research writing combined with his current role producing media- friendly words and pictures make him an expert in interpreting complex issues for ordinary people.
| Martin works full-time as Communications Officer for Friends of the Lake District dealing with publications, public relations and media
| Martin spends his freetime working as a freelance writer, environmental interpreter and photographer mostly focussed on the Lake District
