| Writer and journalist for 25 years. Lives in south London; grammar school education and psychology degree from Reading University, married with two children and four grandchildren. Spent 18 years as a teacher in the state system before joining husband Peter as a freelance writer. Still teaches, mainly trainee journalists. Has travelled widely, including the Himalayas, Australia and the USA, and has co-authored several books.
