Short biog
I am a freelance writer and photographer based in Glasgow. My main areas of interest are coastal and mountain photography, writing about the outdoors and Scottish History with a great knowledge in both fields.

I have written over 200 articles for the outdoor and photographic press and I am the author of three books and I am currently working on another one.

I also write and provide images for walking and outdoor guides for a variety of tourist boards and councils.

Business interests
I am a full time writer and photographer and under the banner of Scottish Horizons I run the Scottish Horizons Picture Library as well as publishing my own range of postcards and greetings cards using my photographs which are stocked in over 40 shops within the Central Belt and Galloway. I also publish The Galloway Coastline Calendar using my images which is stocked in over 40 shops and Tourist Information Centres in the Galloway Region

I write regularly for a number of magazines and run photographic workshops. I also give talks about my photography to a variety of groups.
