Course leader in BA (Hons) Sports Studies (1985–92), and outdoor writer and photographer from 1983 to present. Competitive Surf and White Water Canoeist (1970–85); Gold Ranking Standard Orienteer (1977–present); rock climbing (1990–present) SPA qualified (1998); hillwalking/backpacking (1960–present); downhill skiing (1963–present). Broadcasting work with former London Broadcasting Corporation and BBC Three Counties Radio. Writer/participant in adventure sports; writing on outdoor sports for people of all ages.
