| I began hillwalking and sccrambling in Scotland in 1978 (first Munro, Ben Lomond, June 1978) and have never looked back. Several trekking/mountaineering trips have been made to places such as the Himalaya (Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Sanctuary, Ladakh), the Alps (Mont Blanc, Zermatt), the Pyrenees, Africa (Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya). My areas of particular interest are listed below, but I am particularly attached to the north-west Highlands of Scotland, especially Skye.
