A writer and photographer with a wide range of outdoor based interests including walking, climbing and mountaineering, ski-touring and skiing, mountain biking, sea kayaking, nature and the landscape.
He's probably best known as the person behind the pull-out Ride Guides in mbr (Mountain Bike Rider) magazine and also as the main contributor of all things Wales in Trail magazine. He's a respected gear tester having worked as gear editor on a number of titles and he's also written and illustrated a number of guidebooks covering walking, climbing and mountain biking.
Originally hailing from Bristol, he now lives in the Cambrian Mountains, near Devil's Bridge, with his partner, Steph, and Labrador, Du
He is the current Chairman of BMC Wales/Cymru and sits on the National Council of the BMC
