| Writer, photographer and artist specialising in the mountains of England and Wales. Has recently written two books on walking with young children. Author of twelve books in partnership with his wife Anne, as well as travel articles. Photographer and co-author of weekly column in Manchester Evening News, now in its seventeenth year. Many books illustrated by his pen and ink drawings, also paintings used on book covers and has exhibited with the RI. Formerly a Chartered Engineer and manager with ICL, has designed, developed, and programmed, Multimedia Guides to the Lake District and Peak District.
